2000 Toyota Tundra 4 Wheel Drive Light Flashing
Same thing happening here.
2000 toyota tundra 4 wheel drive light flashing. Discussion in 1st Gen Tundras 2000-2006 started by Kjake Jul 1 2020. The 4wd light blinks when it is NOT in 4wd. Blinking 4 wheel drive light.
Once 4WD mode is engaged. But the indicator lights continue to blink. Reputable mechanics have not been able to definitively determine.
I had someone toggle the switch and felt and listened and verified that both were functioning. The problem but theorize that its the 4wd actuator. Wont shift into 4wd traction control is clearly not working and neither is the ABS system.
On my 2000 tundra when I push the switch for 4 wheel drive I can hear it engage and it goes into 4 wheel high. Can be 1013 at the time you think Ill be done coming. All lights came on at the same time.
My 2000 4wd Tundra is a fine vehicle expect that. In a similar vein as the 4Runner we repaired recently that had a failed transfer case actuator. When the light flashes continuously for more than 30 seconds it signifies there is a problem somewhere on your drivetrain system and that 4WD has not engaged properly.
The purpose of the 4 wheel drive light is to indicate when you have engaged 4WD mode by selecting 4H. So what is that 4 wheel drive indicator blinking on your dashboard means. 4HI4LO lights flashing Traction Control light is on indicating traction control is off and ABS light is on.
