You have to use a socket wrench to loosen both bolts that hold fuse in place by clamping down on both sides of fuse legs. There will be a connector to mate with the plug shown in the linked photo. Hazards work only when lights are off.

Interestingly I bought a lcd tester that you plug into the 4 pin connection it worked. If they dont work then as Toxarch says your trailer has a bad ground. The right side works fine but the left does not.
