The third photo shows a view of the latch from above but doesnt show the target clearly.

2005 toyota tundra hood latch. Hi New member here. Does anyone have suggestions on how to open the hood if the cable is disconnected at the latch end. I got under the truck with a flashlight and had a friend pulling on the cable but still could not see anything.

This is a 03 tundra by the way. Select a Vehicle Close. I ended up buying this replacement latch.
