Back in March Toyota expanded its frame-related recall campaign for the 2000-2003 Tundra as affected trucks arrived in droves across the nation with significant amounts of frame.

Surrounding metal area surrounding all screws that hold bed onto frame completely rusted. Golf ball size holes in bed as well. The safety recall is only for the rear crossmembers.
This finally approved class action settlement includes inspection of the customers frame and if the frames meet or exceed the Rust Perforation Standard based on the court ordered inspection. But the Toyota Tundra and Sequoia also had rust issues around this time. Toyota in 2016 settled a class-action suit by agreeing to spend 3 billion to repair millions of Tacomas Tundras and Sequioa SUVs with rusting frames.

The prime example is the front brake rotor warping on 2000-2003 Tundras. The first was a TSB with covered the entire frame for rust holes but this expired in 2012. Toyota is recalling 73000 Tundra trucks for step bumpers that may break when stepped on.
